On Amendments to Сertain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning Strengthening the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, on December 23, 2021, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the draft law "On Amendments to Сertain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning Strengthening the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights", which implements the provisions of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU into national legislation, was supported.
The purpose of adoption of this draft law is to resolve the issue of bringing the provisions of acts of civil, civil procedural, economic procedural law and legislation in the field of intellectual property in compliance with the obligations related to protection of intellectual property rights taken by Ukraine in accordance with the Association Agreement.
In particular, it concerns implementation of the provisions of the Agreement in respect of preliminary and preventive measures, the right to information, alternative measures, losses, publication of court decisions, as well as other provisions on protection of intellectual property rights into Ukrainian legislation.
