The .UA Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UA-DRP)

The .UA Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UA-DRP)

On May 6, 2021, the .UA Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UA-DRP) for private third-level domain names such as kyiv.ua, kiev.ua, pl.ua, poltava.ua, if.ua, ivano -frankivsk.ua, uzhgorod.ua and uz.ua will come into effect.

Since 2019, UA-DRP applies to second-level private domain names in the .UA domain and private third-level domain names in the .COM.UA domain.

It is the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) that handles domain disputes in accordance with the UA-DRP.

As a reminder, UA-DRP is analogous to the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) developed by WIPO in 1999.

This administrative procedure has been an effective tool for resolving domain disputes for more than 20 years and it has significant advantages over judicial consideration of such disputes.
